Infants - 6 weeks to 18 months
The Infant Program is geared towards your baby from six weeks to 18 months of age, and is developed with the special needs of that age group in mind. Apart from a loving and nurturing staff, our Infant Program provides learning experiences to enhance your child’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive and developmental growth.
Infants typically set their own routine. They tell us when they are hungry or sleepy and we are right there to accommodate every need. We keep a detailed daily log to communicate with parents daily. It includes information such as: how much do they eat?, how often do they eat?, what are their naps like?
However there are some routines in our room that are constant. For example:
- We typically go for a walk every morning (weather permitting)
- Every child sleeps in their own crib
- Diapers are checked and/or changed every two hours unless otherwise needed
- Breakfast is around 8:00 - 8:30am
- Lunch around 11:00 - 11:30am
- Snack around 2:00 - 2:30pm
- Bottles are needed and directed by parents written schedule for us
- We have a quiet time with dim lighting from 12:00 - 2:00pm, which is a great opportunity for napping.
"We encourage parents to spend a few minutes each day talking with us about your child's mood, sleep, any changes, last feeding and also any questions or concerns."
Mrs Lydia
